About Assemble
Jewelry has always been my favourite part of playing dress-up. I would make beaded bracelets with my sister all the time and we even tried to sell them at school (we made lunch money until the teachers caught us). I used to wear my mom’s jewelry behind her back and I was often successful until I lost one of the bracelets. Now, I’m 23 years old and still obsessed with accessorizing. It helped me with finding my personal fashion sense because jewelry elevates any look. I would be scared to try new combinations or outfits when getting ready, but knowing I felt safe with my set of jewelry helped me with taking that leap.
I want to help people in my community and be a part of social change. Instead of shopping from large corporations, I shop specifically from small businesses to support their growth. People around me often ask where I got my jewelry from and I want to be a loud voice for smaller businesses. This catalogue website is showcasing my personal experience with every small business in the Greater Toronto Area where I have bought jewelry from.
Recently, I found myself shopping specifically from multiple small businesses for jewelry that I wanted to support my community. My friends would always ask me where I got my favourite pieces from, so I decided to create Assemble. This catalogue is a platform to share my Jewelry shopping experience with small businesses within the Greater Toronto Area. Being your first-hand experience, I will ease your decision-making process as I highlight the important aspects of each business that I shop from. I will be providing you with:
My rating of the business
Their price range
Location in the GTA
If they offer delivery and/or pick-up options
A brief description of the business and why it’s chosen to be featured
I’m always open to shopping from small businesses that you recommend or are curious about!
